In the process of the innovative energy supply of the “residential oasis”, two cogeneration units were installed which, in addition to the necessary heat, also produce electricity for the entire building with 30 apartments. The energy centre also has a gas condensing boiler and an oil-fired low-temperature boiler for heating and hot water. It was thus possible to take out loans favourable in terms of interest and state subsidies.

A cogeneration unit with an output of 199 kWel and 263 kWth serves as a source of heat and electricity in a hospital complex in the South Bohemian Region.

The advantage of this combination is that a gas boiler is not needed to heat hot water for almost the whole summer and the heat is provided by a solar collector on the flat roof.
